These websites have been chosen by the Youth Services Staff of ACPDL as sites which are
helpful with homework, good places for kids to begin Internet searches and some are just
plain fun.
To use these sites; click on the OPEN button at the top of the screen and then type the
URL (address) exactly as it appears below, or simply click on the underlined text.
If you need additional help, see the staff who will assist you as best they can.

is the Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) area for kids ages
11 and under. There are four sections that make up OH! Kids:

(ages 9-11),
WebKids (ages 6-9),
WebTots
(under 6 and their parents),

Help (all ages)

This site is great for finding out basic information about each state such as the state
song, bird or slogan. If you want excellent pictures and information about Ohio, click on
the "Ohio" website on the OPLIN homepage.
Atlapedia: http://www.atlapedia.com
Atlapedia provides great up-to-date information about each country in the world. The only
drawback is there are no maps included on this page.

Beege, as he likes to be called and his father have put
together a valuable website for kids. You can learn how to effectively search the Internet
and Beege has provided tons of terrific links to other websites designed just for kids.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company provides a clear and concise website
devoted to the human body. Simply click on a body part and a clearly labeled diagram and
information will appear.

Designed by NASA, this excellent site introduces kids to the wonders of the heavens.
Anyone interest in astronomy or astrology should check out his site.

Math League Help is a site designed for kids in grades 4-8 for help on a variety of math
subjects such as fractions, geometry or algebra.
