About the Library

Bookmobile

The first bookmobile drove out of Wapakoneta in July of 1953. The stops included schools and communities in the area. In 1970 a new bookmobile was purchased which held about 1,100 books and made 12 stops biweekly.

The latest bookmobile arrived in October of 1994. Christened the "Auglaize Explorer", the services were expanded to include retirement communities in Cridersville and St. Marys and nursing homes in Cridersville and Minster.
